Comment les archéologues présentent-ils les résultats de leurs recherches ? Venez découvrir 170 ans d’activité archéologique de l’École française d’Athènes. Dans le cadre de la manifestation «Collections ouvertes»-Athènes 2018, l’École vous ouvre ses portes durant la première quinzaine de juin : au programme, visites de la bibliothèque, présentation de livres, vente promotionnelle d’ouvrages, ainsi qu’une exposition d’archives (carnets de fouilles, photographies, plans et livres), intitulée «De la fouille à la publication», qui présentera au public les principaux stades de la recherche archéologique, de la fouille à la publication et à la diffusion du savoir.
Cette manifestation prend place dans le cadre de l’action Athènes, Capitale mondiale du livre 2018, titre accordé à la ville d’Athènes par l’UNESCO pour un an, du 23 avril 2018 au 22 avril 2019.
Entrée libre et gratuite.

Από την ανασκαφή στην δημοσίευση
Πώς παρουσιάζουν οι αρχαιολόγοι τα αποτελέσματα των ερευνών τους ; Ελάτε να ανακαλύψετε 170 χρόνια αρχαιολογικής δραστηριότητας της Γαλλικής Σχολής Αθηνών. Στο πλαίσιο της διοργάνωσης  «Ανοικτές Συλλογές»–Αθήνα 2018 Παγκόσμια Πρωτεύουσα Βιβλίου, η Σχολή ανοίγει τις πόρτες της το πρώτο δεκαπενθήμερο του Ιουνίου: στο πρόγραμμα περιλαμβάνονται ξεναγήσεις στην  πλούσια βιβλιοθήκη της Σχολής, παρουσιάσεις βιβλίων, παζάρι βιβλίου και έκθεση αρχειακού υλικού (ημερολόγια ανασκαφής, σχέδια, φωτογραφίες), χειρόγραφων και εκδόσεων. Η έκθεση αυτή, με τίτλο «Από την ανασκαφή στην δημοσίευση»  θα παρουσιάσει στο κοινό τα βασικά στάδια της αρχαιολογικής έρευνας, ξεκινώντας από την ανασκαφή και φτάνοντας στην δημοσίευση και την διάδοση της γνώσης.
Η δράση εντάσσεται στο πλαίσιο της Αθήνα 2018 Παγκόσμια Πρωτεύουσα Βιβλίου, μια διεθνή διάκριση που έλαβε ο δήμος της Αθήνας και η πόλη μας από την UNESCO με διάρκεια ενός χρόνου, από τις 23 Απριλίου 2018 έως τις 22 Απριλίου 2019.

From excavation to publication
How do archaeologists present the results of their research? Discover 170 years of archaeological activities at the French School at Athens. As part of the ‘Open Collections‘ event, organised by Athens 2018 World Book Capital, the School opens its doors during the first half of June: the programme includes guided tours of its prestigious library, book presentations and a promotional book sale. The event will also host an exhibition, ‘From excavation to publication‘, that will aim at outlining the major steps from fieldwork to knowledge dissemination through archaeological archives (excavation notebooks, field surveys, photographs, reports), manuscripts under publication and printed volumes.
The event is part of the Athens 2018 World Book Capital, a nomination by UNESCO to the City of Athens, that is going to take place for an entire year – from April, 23d, 2018 until April 22nd, 2019.
